Vishwanath Mallabadi

My name is Vishwanath, I am a native of Bangalore, dedicated to utilizing my three decades of experience to contribute to society and foster a sustainable world. As a contemporary Eco Artist, my focus lies in raising awareness and actively engaging in sustainability initiatives. My expertise revolves around repurposing e-waste through upcycling and developing innovative solutions. With a background in knowledge sharing, eco-friendly product development, and organizing educational events such as workshops and seminars, my goal is to inspire others to join the sustainability movement. I excel in forming partnerships with organizations that share my commitment to sustainability. However, my journey has encountered challenges, particularly in India, where there is a lack of awareness about upcycling and environmental responsibility, despite the presence of regulations. With 25 years of experience in waste management, I have honed my skills in transforming e-waste into remarkable art. Unfortunately, I have encountered discouragement from individuals in India. Regrettably, the Indian government does not prioritize upcycling, leading recyclers to struggle to manage the increasing waste generation each year. Despite having regulations in place, there is a lack of responsible citizenship, and the government has not taken sufficient action to address the environmental impact. On a positive note, I am currently working on crafting the world's tallest mural using e-waste. It is scheduled to be unveiled on World Environment Day, June 5th, 2024.
