Selman, doctoral student Tracy Elizabeth, and Harvard researchers on The Children’s Media Lab:The Giver Project report investigating the development of social, emotional, civic, and academic competencies of youth Transcribed, analyzed and synthesized survey and interview data from 47 teachers and 450 sixth-grade English Language Arts students from schools in Colorado, Massachusetts, and North Carolina.

Engineered logistics and scheduling for Ed Connect off-campus informational sessions with industry leaders from 36 companies in NYC and Washington, DC including the U.S. Department of Education, American Institute for Research, Public Broadcasting Service, Nickelodeon, and the Sesame Workshop. Served as Ed Connect liaison between professional organizations and students Interpreted statistical data and prepared reports from survey assessments Re-designed and updated web-based resources and tools Utilized Hired career management platform

Director and Production Manager for all after-school productions and musicals. Included marketing, design, grant-writing, casting, directing, volunteer coordination, scheduling, sales and revenue. Increased operational budget by over 1000%. State awards include Excellence in Ensemble Acting, Excellence in Visual Impact, Excellence in Directing, Excellence in Original Work and Distinguished Play Award. Taught four levels of theatre classes: Beginning, Intermediate, Advanced and Honors drama. Developed curriculum which included performance skills, playwriting, text analysis, devised and applied theatre, theatre history, voice and movement. Class sizes averaged 30 students of mixed abilities. Service Learning Teacher Leader: Led professional development for faculty and sponsored student service learning club. Ensured that students were trained on Noble Hour and logged their hours. Responsible for approving faculty-led service learning projects. Summer of Service leader: Coordinated and facilitated volunteer work in the community with principals and district leaders. Trained administrators on Noble Hour and service learning. Stage Manager - Celebration of Excellence and State of Our Schools televised District Events: Coordinated all stage activity, ran dress rehearsal, called cues for projections, lighting and sound. Managed backstage assistants and staging of student performances.

Instructor and Musical Theatre director for group of 30+ special needs adults. Led choreography, musical direction and development of original performance work. Taught theatre and social skills for autistic youth.

Taught Beginning Acting, Acting and Beyond, Improvisation and Dance classes. Directed all mainstage productions including sold-out performances of "West Side Story." Mentor for new teachers.

Work developed included original performances derived from survey-based research, on-line collaborations and biographical story. Theoretical focus included: Richard Schechner, bell hooks, Paulo Freire, Augusto Boal, and postmodernist thought.
