Executive Advisor — Product Development & Brand Strategy @ Goo-eez
About
I’ve spent my career doing more than building product. I build the teams, structure and thinking that allow great product to happen. For 25+ years, I’ve led Product Development & Design across multi-category apparel businesses spanning intimates, activewear, swimwear, sleepwear, plus-size and lifestyle, working across both branded and private-label environments and North American and international retail markets.I’m often at my best when there’s complexity to untangle. When a product organization is growing. When the assortment has lost clarity. When creative and commercial teams aren’t fully connected. When processes have become heavier than they need to be. Or when a business knows where it wants to go but hasn’t yet built the product organization capable of getting it there. That’s where my scope tends to expand.I look beyond the collection itself to the entire system around it: the consumer, brand positioning, assortment and SKU architecture, design, development, PLM, merchandising, sourcing, production, go-to-market, and the people responsible for making all of it work together.Throughout my career, I’ve built and restructured teams, strengthened product development processes, introduced greater discipline around assortments and SKU planning, and connected functions that too often operate independently.I can move between the creative and commercial sides of a business without treating them as opposing forces. I understand when an idea needs protecting, when a process needs challenging, when a team needs more clarity, and when the product itself simply needs to be better. That judgment comes from years of building, fixing, questioning, developing, editing, leading and delivering product across very different businesses.I don’t just see the product in front of me.I see the system producing it.And I know how to make both stronger. When I’m not building product, you’ll usually find me in a hockey arena cheering on my kids (goalie-mom life), or outdoors hiking, camping, and fishing.
