Developed and led new division at BCBSNC formed to change the way the organization innovates and collaborates with provider partners to improve the quality of care, enhance the member experience, and increase the cost efficiency of care. Focus areas include move to value based care, uses/role of technology in care redelivery, consumer engagement, and new development of quality and performance improvement programs.

Responsible for physician relations and strategy across the community and region, physician business strategies, development of new physician opportunities, and development of physician service organization. Also had P&L responsibility for WakeMed's multi-specialty and primary care physician practices. Set up and and oversaw the MSO, Partners in Practice, that provided strategic, operational, and financial management services to all the physician practices. Responsible for system wide medical affairs including oversight of CMO and medical staff services at all campuses as well as the teaching programs with Wake AHEC and UNC School of Medicine. Led quality and performance improvement efforts for physician practices including Level 3 PCMH certification for all system primary care practices. Founded the primary care division and opened 13 new locations over 16 month period.
