As an Associate at ADK Consulting & Executive Search, I assisted in performing executive searches exclusively for the airport industry for all sizes of commercial service and general aviation airports.

The purpose of the Old Charles Towne District Task Force is to enhance and stimulate economic development through coordination with residents, the business community, the City of Charleston, the County of Charleston and the State of South Carolina. The District is located in the West Ashley area of the City of Charleston.

Executive Director responsible for all facets of airport management including finance, accounting, public relations, operations, planning, development and administration. This included the strategic direction, management and administration of the Charleston County Aviation Authority, an independent political subdivision of the State of South Carolina. The Aviation Authority is responsible for the Charleston International Airport (CHS), Charleston Executive Airport (JZI) and Mt. Pleasant Regional Airport (LRO). Significant accomplishments included: 1. Air Service Development - led the effort to recruit a low cost carrier to the Charleston region. This resulted in the commencement of new air service provided by AirTran (in 2007), Southwest Airlines (in 2011) and JetBlue (in 2013). 2. Economic Development - key member of the community economic development team during Boeing’s “due diligence” process which led to their decision to locate the Boeing 787 Final Assembly Plant at Charleston International Airport with an initial $1 billion investment and over 6,000 jobs. 3. Facilities Development - initiated and implemented the vision for the Terminal Redevelopment and Improvement Program, the complete renovation of a 30 year old facility and a 30% expansion with a total cost of approximately $189 million to provide additional infrastructure necessary to accommodate current and future growth of the Airport. 4. Team Development - built an environment of trust, encouraged and promoted team development through community involvement as well as training and educational opportunities at all levels of the organization.
