Substitute as the Lead or Assisting position while teaching children ages three to five years the following lesson plans: Language Arts, read or/ and assist the children in their reading or writing. Science, as the children would discover how the world works through discovery. Art, as each child would create a project. Math as the children would complete a specific project. Duties also include take daily attendance, communicate with parents at drop off or pick up, supervise on playground, keep the classroom clean and organized.

As the Lead Preschool teacher, age’s three to five, my duties were to create and teach all lesson plans with a traditional creative curriculum within all the domains. Communicate with parents on a daily basis at drop off, pick up or emails. Writing weekly letters and a web to the parents for the following weeks title. Observations and daily notes created by myself to assist children with special needs were obtained to specific parents, take photographs, maintained children’s portfolios including skills checklist, labeled work samples, and areas needing improvement, hold parent teacher conferences, attend lead teacher meetings twice a month as well as full staff meetings once a month, teach religion class daily,weekly display art work with description of learning techniques, serve meals and setting up nap time were the duties .

As a Preschool Assistant with three and four year olds, my duties included assisting the Lead teacher while teaching the following lesson plans, Language Arts (The Letter People) as the children improve fine motor skills and reading. Math as the children would match items or count. Prayer was introduced as well as the children would learn about the Catholic Faith. I would also prepare the room, greet and escort the children to class, communicate with parents daily, proof reading emails, take roll in the morning, and prepare their take home folders. Weekly Bulletin board displayed for parents to observe all lesson plans. Assist in the daily activities, circle time, library day, and outside time. Upon request, I supported the Kindergarten teacher’s classrooms or the second Preschool Classroom.

Taught up to 20 students in a full day program with an assistant. Planned and implemented whole class, small group and on-on- one instruction using developmentally appropriately practice. Prepare classroom, daily schedule and monthly hallway bulletin board. Maintain individual student portfolios including skills checklist, work samples, and narrative reports on areas needing improvement. Interact extensively with parents to provide regular progress reports. Showcase children’s work to boost their self-esteem and to keep them motivated. Attend IEP meetings and communicated once a week with the Clarkson Valley staff of Rockwood School District for children within my class and their families to improve their children’s education. As the Assistant Preschool Teacher at Lemay Child and Family Center for twenty children, some with special needs, my duties were to communicate with the Lead teacher on a daily basis on each child's work and behavior as I observed, teach Science lesson plans once a week to the entire class, teach math lessons when desired, assist at nap time, snack and lunch time. Upon request by the lead teacher to keep the classroom in order, I was asked to develop a new design for the class in "Hand washing" and "Preparing ourselves to go outside". Those lesson plans were designed, taught and created with the help of the children. When requested, assist another Preschool class: read at circle time, provide supervision, help with lunch, outside play, or nap time.

* Assisted Lead teacher with instruction and providing one-on-one supplying support for up to fifteen students while teaching the Montessori Method. * Provided individual support for struggling students, specifically those with learning disabilities and special needs. * Maintained written and photo observations on classroom activities. * Assisted in parent/teacher conferences. * Created and taught all art lesson plans while staying within the Montessori guidelines.

Math, as the children counted items or the days of the week. Music was discovered as the children danced or sang a song. Physical Education as the children had indoor/outside play. Communicating with each parent at drop off and pick up were a large part of my duties. Also writing a child's daily activity report, bathroom breaks, eating snack and lunch and nap time.
