Reporting: Functionally to Global Pharma HSE Head and Operationally to Head External Supply Operations. Job description includes a) Lead and facilitate HSE compliance across Novartis India business units (Technical Operations, Commercial Operations). b) Oversight responsibility at third party manufacturing sites and third party warehouse. Monitor their HSE performance and provide support to achieve HSE compliance. c) Support business to identify risk at third party manufacturing sites, warehousing sites by performing HSE assessment for suppliers in APAC, ME, EU, NA region. Provide assurance on supplier’s HSE compliance enabling business to embed HSE in business decisions. d) Perform process risk assessment during technology transfer of finished products with own IP to provide HSE hazard information on the process to receiving site. e) Support Global Pharma in need based assignments. Completed assignment in Novartis Singapore manufacturing site. f) Develop and impart training to staff including field force, contract staff & third party business partners on relevant topics.

Reporting to Director – Business Service. Job description includes a) Achieve SHE compliance across India business units (R&D, PR&D and Commercial Operations). b) Facilitate/Lead in process risk assessment for scale up projects, fire risk assessment, generic risk assessment. c) Accountable for safety during construction projects. Executed a construction project to build 2500Sqft Liquid Chromatography Lab. Led Zone classification study for liquid chromatography lab project. d) Ensure effective functioning of Functional SHE Committees and get SHE Compliance assurance from business units. e) Perform SHE Assurance visits to Suppliers and support India Sourcing Office. f) Responsible for providing Letter of Assurance to the Board.

Reporting to Group EHS Head. Job description includes a) Managing a team of Sr. Executives & Executives and accountable for operations of Zero Discharge Plant consisting of Effluent Treatment Plant, Effluent Recycling Plant, Sewage treatment Plant, Multiple Effect Evaporator and Incinerator. b) Accountable for ensuring compliance to all legal requirements of Biocon Group of companies. c) Support Group Project department on design of Water & Waste Treatment Plant & Safety Systems. Executed a construction project to build 200,000Sqft R&D facility. d) Part of the team responsible for performing HAZOP studies, reviewing Laboratory & Plant Safety. e) Implementing and maintaining ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 standard.
