Redesigned features from legacy codebases (e.g. a huge .NET WCF monolith) into the more maintainable and scalable micro-services in Scala and Kotlin. Investigated and optimized database reads and writes, utilizing SQL stored-functions and an internal ORM. Leveraged other tools such as Docker, Gitlab CI/CD, Consul, and Kafka.

First hands-on experience with organization-level code, agile philosophy, and scrum team practices. Mainly worked with React + TypeScript frontend, .NET (C#) backend, and relational databases. Optimized the latency of web pages and backend services with concurrency optimizations. Monitored performance gains with Kafka messaging and Grafana metrics visualization. Utilized other infrastructure tools such as GitLab (CI/CD), GraphQL, Docker, and Consul.
