She is the driving force behind Felt and Yarn, an export company that specializes in high-quality wool handmade felt products while providing meaningful employment opportunities for women in her community. Sunita was awarded the title of Commercially Important Person (CIP) by the Government of Nepal in 2020 for being the largest exporter as a youth entrepreneur. Additionally, she has been recognized by the USA Chamber of Commerce for being the top exporter from Nepal to export handmade products to the USA for the year 2021. The Handicraft Association Nepal has also awarded her for being the second-best exporter from Nepal in 2021.
