Managed the combined data engineering team across Amount Consumer and Amount Small Business as well as the Amount Consumer BI, Data Operations, and the data driven Policy Monitoring teams. Emphasized software and process improvements as keys to reducing manual, low value tasks. Drove the buildout of low touch, easy to recover platform as a replacement for operations personnel. Brought all data production tasks and pipelines into connected, chained components. In doing so, decommissioned over one thousand disjoint tasks and used the full power of the data platform to build low touch data systems.

Began an 18 month process of modernizing the data pipeline with targets on client agreements. Rearchitected the system end-to-end, reduced compute usage by 95%, reduced delivery time SLA misses by 90% for the most compute heavy clients. In addition, drove data platform infrastructure costs down by 75%. Rebuilt the data engineering organization by scaling the team, expanding team responsibilities into the application stack, and renewing trust for the data engineering team amongst other data verticals.
