Undergraduate Final Year Project
Project title: Development of a framework for integrating Industry 4.0 with Agile manufacturing • As part of the project, we compiled and analysed the various factors affecting integration of Agile manufacturing and Industry 4.0 through literature reviews. Finalized the list of factors and the criteria against which the factors are judged. • Used FUZZY TOPSIS Multi-Criteria Decision Making technique to rank the factors based on the data given by industry experts and developed an architectural framework for integrating Industry 4.0 with agile manufacturing.

Worked on the project "Manufacturing process design for the wear play adjuster" Analyzed the input casting drawing and output machined drawing and designed a manufacturing process which included selection of manufacturing and support equipment, conceptualization of fixture tooling and gauges. Also, estimated capacity and capex and designed a tentative plant layout.

Summer Intern
Internship under Dr. N. Arunachalam, Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Madras. Project title : Machine tool feed drive failure detection using MEMS based sensor. • Successfully explored the feasibility of measuring spindle vibration using MPU6050 MEMS based accelerometer sensor to detect machine tool spindle load. • Obtained the signature of the signals for different cutting conditions and used it to predict the type of operation being performed, and the cutting conditions/spindle load thereby exploring an IoT enabled manufacturing system.
