My early academic experience is in biotechnology and basic bioinformatics. After entering the industry, my work has been focusing on enzyme engineering using (semi-)rational methods as well as AI-enabled approaches. I have engineered enzymes across a broad range of categories, including, but not limited to, transaminases, oxidoreductases, hydrolases, lyases, and ligases, aiming at enhancing enzymes' properties such as activity, selectivity, and stability. From 2021 to 2025, I successfully guided several projects from idea to commercialization. Now, my special interest lies in AI, and I am specifically devoting myself in merging AI with conventional evolutionary approaches to further accelerate the entire R&D pipeline. I always believe in my curiosity in pushing boundaries.
