Suman Rayamajhi

Suman Rayamajhi is Co-founder and Managing Director of Upaya and has 20 years plus of working experience in the logistics, tech, corporate, telecom, startup, equity and financial sectors in Nepal. Suman is currently working as a catalyst to reshape, consolidate and uplift the scatterred and unorganized logistics market of Nepal using technology and investing in infrastructure through collaboration with all the existing players. In his previous role, he has been a key management team of Smart Telecom to operationalize the Company with 4G launch in major cities of Nepal and raising the fund for the network expansion. He also has experience in investment advisory company, where his expertise lies in setting up & operationalizing PE/ Venture Funds, due diligence, transactions advisory and deal structuring.   Prior to founding Upaya, Suman had co-founded beed management, a business consulting company in 2008 and was a CEO of Business Oxygen (BO2), a US$ 14 million International Finance Corporation (IFC) SME Venture Fund. He also has experience of working with the World Bank for the Financial Sector Reform Project, Rastriya Banijya Bank (one of the largest public sector bank in Nepal) as a Regional Manager.   Suman has a Chartered Accountancy degree along with Bachelors in Commerce and was trained from Price Waterhouse Coopers, India. He has attended negotiation courses in Deal Making in Harvard Negotiation Institute.
