The principle focus of my position is to manage the stormwater drainage infrastructure database, including the natural drainage system and natural land formations that influence our drainage catchments. In this regard I sit on Council’s Climate Change committee and provide specialist LiDAR modelling to enable climate change adaptation regarding Sea Level Rise, and the modelling of overland flow paths associated with high intensity rainfall events. As well as modelling the hydraulic flows, I am also modelling vegetation and structures (including impervious surfaces) with the advantage of automating the bulk collection of Trees data (Council manages around 60,000 trees in roadways and reserves) as another asset sub-class. I am also providing modelling for Flood Plain mapping for Council.
