Living in a world where technology is continuously improving, people often become blinded by the positive impacts to see the consequences that comes with this growth. For instance, the increasing demand for electrical power generation is undoubtedly one of the biggest problems the world faces. This not only causes more pollution, but also leads to a rapid decrease in non-renewable resources that we rely on so heavily to generate electrical power. After completion of my electrical engineering degree, I plan to use my knowledge and skills to aid in developing and improving renewable resources for electricity generation. With an increase in efficiency and reliability on renewable resources, the economy will see a significant decrease in usage of non-renewable resources. Furthermore, dependence on these harmful resources will be reduced thereby eliminating one of the world's biggest concerns.
