About

As a Behavioral support in long-term care, I work with older adults experiencing Dementia, Alzheimer’s, and other complex mental health conditions, striving to identify the root causes of behaviors and provide meaningful support. My approach focuses on building capacity within care teams and directly supporting residents, integrating the social determinants of health into my daily practice to enhance their well-being. In addition to my therapeutic work, I developed and currently lead “Inside Their Mind: A Dementia Experience,” an educational program designed to train healthcare staff on the lived experience of dementia. This initiative has garnered strong participation and has been instrumental in fostering empathy and improving care approaches. I am deeply passionate about health education and advocacy, particularly in shifting healthcare away from a rigid biomedical model toward holistic, non-pharmacological approaches. I am strong leader with experience managing staff and volunteers, I possess excellent communication skills and a continuous eagerness to learn. I am actively exploring new opportunities to expand my impact and further my career in healthcare.
