Design and develop prototype parts, exhaust system clamps, and sheet metal components for commercial vehicles. Create 3D models and Detailed 2D drawings of clamps, sheet metal parts, and machining components using SolidWorks and AutoCAD. Generate and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) to support efficient product lifecycle management. Apply knowledge of material selection and manufacturing processes to optimize product performance and minimize costs. Design and develop welding fixtures, assembly fixtures, checking gauges, and sheet metal tooling. Prepare laser cutting and bending drawings, DXF files for production, and implement GD&T standards. Conduct reverse engineering to improve and redesign existing clamps, ensuring product validation. Prepare and release Engineering Change Notes (ECN) to support product modifications and improvements. Collaborate with the marketing team to translate customer requirements into practical design solutions. Coordinate with the sourcing team for supplier development and cost-effective procurement. Share RFQs with suppliers for tooling, fixtures, and non-standard components. Support product validation activities and contribute to cost optimization initiatives.
