Much of my professional life has been spent in the residential construction industry. The earlier portion was primarily directed in the construction of homes from the purchase thru selection process and final construction and closing of homes. The latter part of my career was spent in the planning and construction of residential land development projects. Currently, due to the economic downturn in construction, I have focused my energies in our plumbing business working on marketing, website development, dispatching and process improvements. As Vice President of Planning, I was responsible to oversee the planning and development of multiple sites including several redevelopment sites in Detroit. I supervised 4 planners and was responsible for the feasibility of the site thru planning and all governmental approvals necessary to start construction. These included environmental studies, site planning, plat approval, wetland permitting and final construction approvals. Worked closely with municipal and other governmental officials to obtain approvals necessary for construction of each development. Outstanding accomplishment: Took several sites from site plan submittal to final plat approval in less than 1 year time.
