As a co-founder, I have led the journey from early-stage technology development to building the business around it. In the initial stages, I worked deeply on research and development alongside my co-founder: writing code, running simulations, building and testing prototypes, and conducting experiments, while also driving customer discovery, market research, and grant/fund-raising efforts. Today, I focus primarily on the business side, leading business planning, go-to-market strategy, partnerships, and fundraising, while guiding the overall strategic direction of the company. I joined this fellowship to explore the commercialisation of a novel cold storage technology, gaining hands-on exposure to market discovery, value chain analysis, and real-world problem validation beyond formal entrepreneurship training. Here's what I worked on: ▸ Led a team of six to conduct deep field research, speaking with 100+ farmers and FPOs across five states to understand post-harvest losses in fresh produce. ▸ Spent time on-ground with tribal jasmine farmer communities in Palghar, Maharashtra, empathizing with lived realities, mapping the entire jasmine value chain, and helping build a novel post-harvest storage device that reduced on-farm wastage by ~30%. ▸ Refined the business model for floral waste reduction through the Stanford Seed Spark program, where our work went on to win 3rd place at the Business Modelling and Planning Contest.

I worked on a core engineering and research project, alongside active participation in strategic senior management deliberations, frontline leadership workshops, and High Impact Project brainstorming sessions. ▸ Identified process improvements in the aluminium billet production line, increasing throughput by ~12,000 MTPA and reducing breakdown duration by ~45%. ▸ Devised engineering solutions using CFD analysis to reduce furnace burner fuel consumption by ~10%, resulting in annual savings of over ₹1 crore for the unit.

Apart from grappling with fluid sciences, I spent quite some time trying my hand at business case study competitions and hackathons. I was also an active part of CFI, where I worked on hands-on projects: farming automation robot; an ergonomic assistive crutch (presented at i-CREATE Australia); and cardiovascular arterial stiffness estimation (cf-PWV) in collaboration with researchers from JIPMER, (was among the Top 40 at IIGP 2018).
