Associate Director @ Johnson & Johnson

About

I am a dynamic Associate Director and Oncology Discovery Leader at Johnson & Johnson with over 10 years of experience in cancer research and drug development. I hold a Ph.D. in Neuroscience and Cell & Molecular Biology, along with a Management Development certificate from Wharton, combining scientific expertise with business acumen. My expertise spans T cell redirectors, NK engagers, ADCs, radioligand therapy (RLT), PET tracers, small molecule inhibitors and targeted therapies. I have successfully led projects, including JNJ-70218902, from discovery to Phase I clinical trials. I excel in managing multi-million-dollar budgets, capital procurement, portfolio management including CRO/CDMO management and leading cross-functional teams in matrix environments. Currently, I am driving prostate cancer research focused on first-in-class therapeutics, while actively contributing to the scientific community through research publications. #DrugDiscovery #Oncology #Leadership #BusinessAcumen #Innovation #ClinicalDevelopment

PhD. Thesis work involved- * Investigating signaling pathways that induce cell differentiation/development of tissue. Using the ocular lens as a model- *Discovered that a coordinated α6 integrin/IGF-1R/NFκB survival signal induces expression of survival proteins, which in turn regulates caspase-3 activity during lens epithelial cell differentiation. * Studied mechanisms responsible for inducing autophagy in the ocular lens. Results showed that inhibition of a JNK-regulated mTOR signaled organelle-free zone (OFZ) formation in the lens. Collectively, studies performed revealed essential regulatory mechanisms that control lens differentiation and development. * Published extensively, gave platform and poster presentations at ARVO and ISER. *Led experiments to understand corneal and retinal developmental pathways. *Trained several Undergraduate/Graduate students.
