As a clinical research fellow, I study a particular white blood cell, called neutrophils, in their role in cancer metastasis in mouse models by using single-cell technologies as well as gene-editing tools to interrogate neutrophil function. I was trained in gastrointestinal and liver pathology. I have a strong interest in developing imaging technologies to automate and improve pathology diagnostics on archival tissue. Currently, I work on multiplexed immunofluorescence imaging of colon cancer and liver metastasis to study the tumor immune microenvironment from archival samples.
