I possess more than 10 years experience in performance sport and have led Olympic, World, European & Commonwealth medal winning teams. I have occupied a variety of leadership roles, supporting the development of athletes, coaches and practitioners across a number of sports and disciplines. My experience of working in competitive sport at the highest level has helped me to develop the skills needed to manage strong characters, collaborate with others to find innovative solutions and continually deliver results in high pressure environments.

Providing strategic leadership for BWL’s Pathway and World Class Programme. With the support of a great team I have had the privilege to lead and coach Great Britain and England to more than 100 international medals at senior and age group level including: Great Britain’s first ever Women’s Olympic medal at Tokyo 2020 England’s biggest ever medal haul at the Goldcoast 2018 Commonwealth Games England’s highest number of Gold medals ever at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games and the first men’s Commonwealth Champion since 2002 Great Britain’s first Women to win an Olympic medal at back to back Olympic Games ever and first athlete male or female to achieve the same feat since 1964 (Tokyo 2020 & Paris 2024) Multiple World championship medalists Multiple European champions and medalists Multiple Commonwealth champions and medalists This role is an evolution/promotion from my previous role of Performance Manager. In addition to my role in coaching and leadership I was heavily involved in the organisation’s submission for UK Sport and Sport England funding processes across 2 Olympic and Commonwealth cycles. The successful submissions involved the creation of the sport’s performance strategy leading up to 2032 Olympic Games and led to an increase UK Sport and Sport England funding: £400,000 during the Tokyo cycle (2017-2021) £3.35 million for the Paris cycle (2021-2025) £4.45 million (2025-2029) which was the highest increase in UK sport funding (by percentage) of any Olympic sport for the LA cycle

Team leader and coach for the Paris 2024 Olympic games. Emily Campbell the sole Weightlifter for TeamGB returning for her second games and securing a second medal, this time bronze, against an even higher standard of opponent than Tokyo 2020. Emily became only the second British Weightlifter in Olympic history to win 2 medals for Great Britain and the first woman. A feat which hasn’t been achieved since 1964.

Team leader and coach for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic games. Team GB qualified a full team of 4 women for the games who all ranked top 10 in the world despite the difficult circumstances caused by covid-19. The largest team of women to ever qualify for Weightlifting in Team GB. The team finishing 3rd in the women’s medal table and returned with its first ever Women’s Olympic medal from Emily Campbell, a silver medal and the first Olympic medal for weightlifting for over 20 years.
