As operations/transport within a busy, fast moving, ever changing removals and distribution business my responsibilities where wide and varied to include but not restricted to: Preparation and Allocation of company resources and man power covering domestic and commercial moves local and national. Responsible for recording working time in line with working time directive regulations and preparation of weekly PAYE/BANKING. Sole responsibility for purchasing/invoicing & account management. Dealing first hand with the needs of customers from the initial contact to the office all the way through the quotation/bookings procedures to include quality control inspection on move days. Dealing with the daily running operations of a fleets of 7+HGV vehicles and their crews, often dealing with unpredictable last minute adjustments to scheduling and workloads.
