Steycie Louis

I am a recent graduate of Barnard College with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and minor in Psychology. I am passionate about government, law, and policy; and hope to attend law school in the near future. During my time at Barnard, I've cultivated my practical skills in writing and editing as a Writing Fellow and writer for the Columbia Black Pre-Law Society. My academic experience as a Political Science major and teaching assistant have enhance my skills in data acquisition and analysis using RStudio and Excel. Coupled with my leadership experience on campus, I aim to apply these skills to my future endeavors in the legal field. My strong written and oral communication skills have allowed me to successfully intern at SEO Scholars where I have expanded my knowledge of ways to help underrepresented students access 4-year accredited colleges and universities. I hope to use my experience as an intern to influence my future career as a lawyer, where I will advocate for equitable access to education and legal resources for underrepresented communities.I am eager to support legal teams in their work while gaining practical experience that will prepare me for law school.
