The InterAgency Journal (IAJ) is a refereed national security studies journal, and is published quarterly by the Command and General Staff College Foundation Press for the Simons Center for Interagency Cooperation. The IAJ provides a forum to inform a broad audience on matters pertaining to tactical and operational issues of cooperation, collaboration, and/or coordination among and between various governmental departments, agencies, and offices. Each issue of the IAJ contains a number of articles covering a variety of topics, including national security, counterterrorism, stabilization and reconstruction operations, and disaster preparation and response.

Divergent Options is a non-politically aligned organization that, 1,000 words at a time, provides unbiased, dispassionate, candid articles describing a national security situation, presenting multiple options to address the situation, and articulating the risk and gain of each option. Our target audience includes practitioners across the national security space.

Creator of #DoctrineMan, a cartoon persona that was the mainstay of a long-running national security micro-blog with more than 250,000 followers across multiple platforms. Now in semi-retirement, the camouflaged anti-hero makes occasional appearances and offers infrequent commentary in response to the Idiocracy surrounding us. The Military Writers Guild exists to gather writers committed to the development of the profession of arms through the exchange of ideas in the written medium. Through its members, The Guild will encourage an open dialogue from diverse perspectives, thereby supporting the study of military affairs, spread knowledge of the military profession, and increase the assistance available to those writing in the national security space. The Guild will help foster a strong peer ecosystem focused on writing about military affairs through our ability to, “Advocate, Collaborate, and Promote.”

Served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Military Writers Guild, helping to set the strategic direction for the organization while advising on and participating in various board initiatives intended to build membership, increase the Guild's profile, and provide creative outlets for members.

Senior Fellow at the Modern War Institute (MWI) at West Point, which generates new knowledge for the profession of arms, enhances the West Point curriculum, and provides the Army and the Nation with an intellectual resource for solving military problems. MWI has three mutually supporting functions: Research, Educate, and Integrate.

Led diverse team of strategic planners and communicators for the commanding general of the U.S. Army Combined Arms Center, an organization responsible for overseeing the Army's training and education enterprises. Developed policies and strategies to support innovative approaches to preparing the Army to face the uncertain challenges of the future, including executive-level and continuing education, leader development, and other initiatives that help to optimize the Army's human capital.

Served as Chief of Operations for the US Army's institutional hub, the "Intellectual Center of the Army." Coordinated, integrated and synchronized the activities of a 40,000-person organization operating from 17 separate installations across the country.

U.S. Mission-Iraq Senior Advisor for Professional Military Education for the Iraqi Security Forces. Responsible for military education, regional exercises, English language training, the International Military Education and Training program, and advising the National Security Advisory's effort to establish and maintain a government think-tank.
