* Clarkstown GIS and Comprehensive Plan: * The expansion of the Town's GIS database is crucial in fulfilling the goals and objectives of the Plan. This task requires the collection of spatial data through records research and field work. * Responsibilities: * Collect catch basin data for application within Clarkstown's Geographic Information System (GIS) * Enter information collected into GIS database * Conduct in-house and field research as necessary for the implementation of the Town Comprehensive Plan

* Compile, copy, sort, and file records of office activities, business transactions, and other activities * Compute, record, and proofread data and other information, such as records, reports, and invoices * Learned valuable interpersonal skills while working with business executives in a professional environment

* Coordinate and provide training to resource personnel regarding analysis, decision making, and conversion of manual processes utilizing object-oriented programming languages * Served as the technical lead for the right of way database development and implementation * Applied geospatial analysis techniques including modeling, cartographic principles, raster processing, and scripting (SQL Server, Model Builder, Python) * Compiled spatial datasets from diverse sources, evaluated, and recommended the most cost efficient and visually communicable output design * Provided guidance to the State Office and Field Office personnel regarding cartographic principles and procedures as they apply to geospatial systems used for resource management and planning * Analyzed spatial and non-spatial data used to create maps and incorporates this information into documents and reports benefitting managers, subject matter experts, law enforcement, and the public
