Steven E. Wedel

I am an author working in multiple genres, including adult and young adult horror, fantasy, literary fiction, westerns, thriller, erotica, romance, children's, and non-fiction. I have been published by major houses (Bloomsbury and Tor), several small genre presses, and under my own imprint, MoonHowler Press. After high school, I spent 10 years as a CNC machinist before going to college to become a news reporter. Since then I've worked for The Oklahoman, The Journal Record, OKC Business, and freelanced for various other newspapers and magazines. I've also worked as a corporate writer for Conoco Inc., and as public relations director for Oklahoma City University and the South Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce. I have 17 years (as of 2023) of experience as an English teacher, mostly at the high school and college level, though I've taught kindergarten, fifth and sixth grade, and at the middle school level.
