I was an independent floor covering contractor in the capital district. I installed commercial floor covering in large and small projects such as hospitals, schools, luxury apartment and condos, luxury residential homes, churches, office buildings, restaurants, et cetera. I have worked in every building type and industry type throughout my career. I have had the opportunity to work with so many different professionals in design and trade industries. I learned all about project management, leading and building teams, and overall how to run my own business. My carpentry skills progressed over years into expanding my skillsets to perform all different types of construction work from pouring a foundation, to framing, to painting, and punching a project out. I started performing more complicated projects on our own investment properties and never looked back. We transitioned the end of this coming moving out of NY and replanting in NC to start a brand new company that specializes in design and build.

I was the project manager and estimator for commercial floor covering. I was in charge of all estimating quantities and takeoff for every project. I was in charge of hiring all subcontractor work force to complete project on budget and on time, logistics for all materials, direct communication the client or enduser to ensure project satisfaction.

I estimated all commercial flooring products using Callidus flooring software. I performed quantity take offs for all floor covering materials, in the field, and blueprint take offs. I worked closely with the sales team in putting together all of the information necessary for small and large bid projects.
