Primary focus on physical thermal mechanical simulation of aluminum, titanium and superalloys using the Gleeble system. Developed new tests and techniques to model warm/hot forming of sheet, on-cooling stress response, forging flow stress and creep. Pioneered DIC strain measurement with Gleeble testing in North America.

Forging Engineer: Focused on forging process simulation using DEFORM-3D and LS-DYNA software. Worked to move forging simulation effort to die designers. Emphasis on quench residual stress/cold work modeling.

Sheet Forming Engineer: My role involved developing material constitutive models, performing FEA simulation with LS-DYNA, Abaqus and Autoform, designing die surfaces with Pro/E, performing laboratory experiments and working as a field engineer troubleshooting forming issues.

Rotational Employee at the Proving Ground: Projects focused on automatic transmission simulation, vehicle handling and brakes system testing and accelerated corrosion testing.
