-As a team member of the development project team for package (Rooftop unit, Ducted Split unit) product design. -Perform detail refrigeration system design in terms of coil sizing and circuit design for both evaporator and condenser, components sizing such as compressor, expansion device, filter drier etc, pipe sizing, determine necessary airflow rate required by both evaporator and condenser and at the same time determine whether there is any modification needed to be made to the system under special requirement such as high ambient application. -Perform simulation using ESPRIT(Daikin simulation software) for more accurate coil sizing and to obtain more accurate airflow rate required for both evaporator and condenser at the same time estimate corresponding coil performance in terms of cooling capacity and EER. -Perform DFA(design failure analysis) for every design project as a purpose to record down any possibilities of failure mode and possible root cause in terms of design, testing, manufacturing, site failure etc and at the same time ensure there is proper countermeasure. -Liaise with suppliers on components or parts sourcing. -Perform component sourcing, selection and standardization for the particular technology field. -Gather necessary and useful information on ways to improve the company’s product range and manufacturing methods. -Gather, compile and supply technical information on design part. -Create technical drawing for heat exchanger, components and designed piping in order to ease production and manufacturing process. -Create, change and check the Material Master and BOM of the design parts. -Monitor psychrometric testing of the designed system to ensure that the target performance can be achieved and at the same time perform troubleshooting with testing engineer whenever there is any system failure or testing failure.
