Managing the commercial portfolio of two commercial bankers, including analysis/underwriting of new loan opportunities and renewals for existing customers.

I provide commercial lending support that enhances the bank’s loan portfolio including: underwriting and analyzing credit data to estimate degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money to firms, while complying with banking and lending regulations, and contributing to the attainment of the bank’s revenue and profitability targets. Essential responsibilities include: Completing loan presentation underwriting of new and renewing commercial and commercial real estate loan requests; continuously monitor loan performance by reviewing ongoing financial condition, compliance with loan policy, advance ratios and collateral values; track borrower compliance with loan covenants; evaluate results of investigations, prepare reports of findings, and suggest credit limitations to management; review and prepare loan package and documentation ensuring compliance with loan approval and bank policy. I am actively involved in managing new and existing key account relationships (portfolio management) on behalf of the bank based on established goals and objectives; participate on calls with lenders to prospective and current client establishments; and maintain and update loan files, including assist with financial tracking, review and administer various lender/officer reports, and regularly interface with bank staff to identify and resolve client’s concerns and/or requests.

Wisconsin Business Development's mission to assist small businesses in gaining access to capital in order to grow their businesses, provide job opportunities, and inspire their communities. WBD also utilizes New Market Tax Credits to raise private investment in businesses located in Wisconsin's low income communities. As a project analyst, I provide market research and financial analysis for new commercial loan inquiries, and conduct financial analysis and reporting compliance for New Markets Tax Credits and SBA Micro-finance programs.

As an Intern, my primary responsibility was to spread and analyze year end tax returns and internal financial statements of WBD's existing customers to identify any issues which were then reported to the senior compliance officer.
