Airworthiness and V&V Compliance for newly Pilot Training System. This includes various Mission Systems including the Pilatus PC-21 aircraft, Flight Training Devices and am Integrated Electronic Learning System.

Member of the Engineering Team Acting on behalf of CoA (ADF) for V&V and Engineering management activities for AIR5428 (PC-21 acquisition).

* Support to DMO through ASD directives in the development and delivery of ED management training packages to a variety of SPOs to increase EDM awareness on both fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft RAAF aircraft. * Working in concert with DSTO and other commercial operators to improve maintenance strategies of aging assets through corrosion modelling. * Successful management and technical support of a corrosion-based RCM program for the MRH90 funded through DSTO with the support of the MRHLMU and Australian Aerospace. * Development and delivery, in collaboration with DSTO and various SPOs, of ED Training Courses. These have been delivered to over 8 SPOs over the past 4 years. * QinetiQ Usage Monitoring IPT to support FAMIS2 (Fatigue Accrual Management Information System 2) on behalf of the ADF. Key activities include the collection, databasing, analysis and reporting of aircraft Usage information. . * Return Of Investment Costings of EDM strategies. * Technical Support, Consulting and Site Auditing.

* QinetiQ lead for Project Engineering arm of Tender Evaluation Working Group (TEWG) for the Chemical, Biological Radioactive and Nuclear (CBRN) project working alongside CASG. * Main Responsibilities: * Tender Review on behalf of the CoA as part of JP 2110 P RFT * Desktop and Physical Audit in relation to the FPS and OCD

* In support of the RAAF F-111 Sole Operator Program, managed a task that involved a detailed corrosion audit of prone areas on the F-111 aircraft. * Planned and managed a research program to gain operational and environmental data for the Army ARH Tiger platform which was submitted to the Parliamentary Works Committee and subsequently adopted. * Responsible for corrosion condition audits of various Defence platforms (F-111, Seahawk, P3C, C-130) with recommendations for future cost effective operational and maintenance strategies. * Authored a DEF-STAN test procedure for that was endorsed by DGTA and became a requirement for future product reviews.

* In conjunction with the UNSW and Hawker de Havilland, part of a team to assess the performance of gas turbing blade coatings used on RAAF propulsion systems * Root cause failure analysis and solutions of RAAF components.

* Part of an Integrated Projec Team involved with DMO Land 121 Phase 3 project including: * Formal bid document provision in response to the RFT. * Developmental tests in response to customer concerns culminating in product improvements. * Provision and delivery of V&V status at formal System Engineering Review (SRR, PDR, CDR). * Extensive testing of vehicle systems and subsystems both at bench level and off-site (proving ground).

* As part of Land 116 Phase 3 (Air Defence Variant), involved in the systems engineering process that included the development of appropriate Test Plans (including FAT, SAT, V&VP and CMTP) and systems reviews. * Managed numerous verification and validation activities at the subsystem and component level, in particular, FAT and SAT for the $35M SOTAS IP vehicle communications system to the ADF. * Engaged and managed the V&V activities for the rapid development and acquisition of subsystems for the Netherlands’ Defence Materiel Organisation. * Engaged in formal qualification of numerous ECPs in response to additional customer requirements. * Compliance to internal procedures and a thorough understanding of OH&S regulations and test risk.
