Monitor and review Legislative requirements regarding Health, Safety & Compliance Member of JH & SC and ensure monthly meetings are conducted. Identify unsafe acts, conditions, and hazards, investigate root causes, identify corrective and preventative actions, and share best practices. Communicate effectively and use conflict resolution skills to diffuse any conflicts that may arise with drivers. Monitor compliance of Health and Safety policies, procedures, and guidelines, supports and mentors on safety standards, policies, and industry standards. Lead Safety & Compliance team and mentors team members on safety standards, policies, and industry standards. Counsel drivers on ELD, HOS, DOT regulations. Ensure all drivers are compliant with HOS regulations. Provide HOS/ELD training to drivers (induction/ time based). Regulatory monitoring federal and provincial safety regulations to keep current with safety and compliance programs and implement changes. Analyze and generate reports weekly including accident/incident, CVOR changes and utilizing charts and graphs to capture changes. Interview and road test new drivers, onboarding with safety training and work specific SOPs. Evaluate current drivers. Quarterly safety meetings conducted with employees. Data analytics to measure various KPIs.

Manage Operations, Maintenance and Saftey departments to ensure customer service level is maintained at an optimal level of excellence. Manage fleet maintenance for all tractors and trailers ensuring safety is maintained in order to avoid downtime, protecting our excellent customer service level. Coordinate trailer loads to be unloaded or reloaded in order of priority. Assigned dock personel relevant loads. Communicate with shunters via radio for trailer dock assignment. Record relevant information regarding loads and dock assignments in excel spreadsheet. Supervise dock staff.

Oversee the dock the freight arrives and departs in a timely fashion. Maintaining cut times to ensure freight arrives at transfer terminal on time for 100% customer satisfaction. Communication with gore Bay is key to keeping the customers satisfied and happy with our service.

Process all US inbound and outbound paperwork for drivers including ACE-ACI paperwork for US border crossing. Manage any potential US border crossing issues that may arise. Coordinate all PODs for invoicing. Schedule and implement next day local deliveries. Monitor phone and satellite systems, QTRACS and resolve any issues or concerns that may occur. Keep management informed of any incidents that may negatively impact operations. Supervise and manage dock personnel. Actively participate in local deliveries as needed. AZ /Fast qualified.
