I am developing a super-resolution microscope, incorporating optical, mechanical and electronic systems, in addition to software for instrument control and image processing pipelines. I am using this technology to observe the positions of division proteins in bacteria which I have labelled with fluorescent markers.

My responsibilities include requirements management, verification and validation, automated test systems development and systems architecture design.

I was responsible for writing and submitting technical responses to tenders in the USA, Canada and the UK across the entire Malvern Instruments product range which spans industrial, pharmaceutical and bio-pharmaceutical applications. I was also responsible for identifying upcoming tenders and sources of funding.

My responsibilities included development testing, alpha testing, basic mechanical design and automated test systems development across laser diffraction and dynamic light scattering products.

Leading a team of up to 11 people to deliver lighting, sound and visual solutions for events including the National Student Television Awards, Loughborough University Dance Competition - the largest and most prestigious inter-university dance competition in the UK, and live music with artists such as Scouting for Girls and Olly Murs.
