As Director and Business Owner, I oversee every aspect of the business: mechanical design, production, engineering strategy, quality control, international sales, business development, and end-to-end customer service. I remain actively involved in technical innovation and operational leadership, ensuring every system meets the specific needs of our clients. Between 2012 and 2016, I also held the position of Sales Director. In this parallel role, I led both domestic and global sales operations, repositioned the company as a modern, solutions-focused brand, developed new go-to-market strategies, built long-term B2B partnerships, and supported complex technical proposals and bids. Today, C.E.King is trusted by manufacturers around the world for delivering robust packaging systems and responsive post-sale support. I founded Zenopac Limited in 1999 to deliver high-performance packaging machinery, component handling solutions, and automation systems to clients across the UK and Europe. Zenopac became a trusted supplier to OEMs, end users, automation integrators, machinery dealers, and consultants. We served a wide range of industries including food, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, toiletries, and healthcare — providing packaging equipment tailored to each sector’s unique requirements. Our offerings spanned everything from compact benchtop units to fully automated production lines. I led every part of the business, including machine design, engineering operations, project management, sales, marketing, finance, and strategic growth. I was solely responsible for budgets, profitability, client relationships, and operational execution. My technical expertise focused on machinery for liquid filling, tablet counting, capping, product conveying, unscrambling, and change part tooling. Many of our systems remain in use across packaging lines worldwide, a testament to our commitment to reliability and performance. I collaborated closely with manufacturers, staying ahead of technological advancements and market trends. Zenopac combined technical precision with practical design — helping businesses improve output, reduce downtime, and streamline production.

I led a department of eight design engineers and administrative staff, delivering core engineering services for packaging machinery projects. My focus was on the customisation of existing machine platforms — including liquid fillers, tablet counters (both slat and electronic), and capping systems — tailored to meet individual customer specifications. I also supported the Research & Development and Special Projects divisions, working closely with technical teams to improve performance and drive product innovation. My leadership during this transition period helped improve departmental output ahead of the company’s acquisition by DT Industries.

As a senior design engineer, I worked across a wide range of packaging machinery solutions, contributing to both technical development and project execution. I gained extensive experience managing and delivering projects for major blue-chip companies, with values up to £1.6 million. My role included designing standalone machines and complete packaging lines, specialising in systems for tablet counting, liquid filling, bottle capping, and component handling. I collaborated closely with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure precision, performance, and integration.

I completed a five-year indentured mechanical technician apprenticeship while studying part-time at Brooklands Technical College, where I earned a BTEC HNC in Production and Mechanical Engineering. I was named “Apprentice Technician of the Year” in 1989. My apprenticeship focused on the design of special-purpose packaging machinery for the pharmaceutical, healthcare, toiletries, and cosmetics sectors. I developed hands-on experience in creating systems for tablet counting, liquid filling, bottle closing, and component design — laying the foundation for my long-term career in mechanical engineering and industrial automation.

Completed day-release studies alongside a five-year indentured mechanical technician apprenticeship at C.E. King Ltd, a global packaging machinery manufacturer. Earned a BTEC HNC with two distinctions, following successful completion of the BTEC National Certificate (NC) and BTEC First in Production & Mechanical Engineering. Focused on machine design, manufacturing processes, and mechanical systems integration for industrial automation and packaging.

Completed GCSEs across core academic and technical subjects.
