* Key Accomplishment * Used Lean principles to develop a weekly purchasing schedule, identified waste in the purchasing process for future process improvement projects, and developed customer service purchasing request guidelines Responsibilities included: * Purchasing resale products, raw materials, and plant consumables through the use of JD Edwards Enterprise Resource Planning system * Reporting to the plant manager who previously was a Lean consultant * Updating purchasing catalogues to reflect current vendors, minimum order quantities, inventory buffer sizes, and additional ERP details

* Key Accomplishments: * Updated production Q.C. specification sheets using relevant standards * Entered Q.C. specifications into excel files as raw data for database project * Produced a new production floor Q.C. sheet with input from Q.A. Supervisor and production employees

* Key Accomplishments: * Trained 5 new order pickers on graveyard shift * Order checker for 50% of shifts per week on graveyard shift responsible for ensuring packaged product matched the pick slip. Nightly volume of product checked ranged from 4,000 unique items up to 7,000 unique items. Performed this function for 4 months resulting in 0 customer notifications of incorrect product being shipped.
