Looking after project logistics and development in Scotland

Commenced as Joint Operations Manager in March 2023, before being promoted to Branch Manager in October 2023, early 2024 i decided to change with total focus on projects and i am now the UK Projects Manager. working mostly operational, but also business development. attending project loadouts on behalf of customers at home and abroad, attending project conferences as representative of company, onboarding new clients to customer base.

Part of project team based at Glasgow Airport, covering all modes of transport. Ships chartering and port Agency are also areas of our expertise.

Boarding of vessels , liaising with crew and port authorities.

Commenced June 2020, initially working on chartering side , but now helping with customs.

Employed as Project cargo Executive, during time with KC we had several steel cargo loadouts in Leith, Wick and Invergordon, i arranged chartering of vessels and also attended loadouts at each location. Also arranged shipment of 60 tonne Boiler with MSC to Kuwait. Also went on sales visit to China & Hong Kong where i visited agents offices in Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Shanghai.

Worked with several clients on Ocean and Road Imports, arranging customs clearance and deliveries to customers using Sequoia software.

I commenced with Braid in October 2003, intially covering maternity leave in the Bulk Liquid division, i then moved to work with the Project Manager where i learned all about Project / Heavy Lift shipments and the technical aspects of this type of movement. i then was trained in ships Agency work covering all ports in Scotland and indeed Northern England, i eventually took over as Ships Agency Manager and devised operational handbook for other staff to use whilst i was on holiday. I also worked with Chartering Manager and at the time we operated 2 small coaster vessels around UK and to near continent and learned all about chartering / shipbrokering and ISPS audits from him. I also attended cargo loadouts throughout Europe and SE Asia. Also helped out with Whisky Barrel Imports for a short time and arranged customs clearances and deliveries to site.

Dealing with Ocean Imports and exports / arranging all necessary customs clearances and deliveries, arranging courier exports and imports, offloading vehicles in warehouse , reloading vehicles.

Arranging Ocean and Air exports , liasing with airlines, liner agents, key account holder for large paper company in Fife, and also worked inhouse at weekends when required for large semiconductor company in Inverclyde,.

Arranging customs clearance of Air Imports through our ERTS facility in Paisley, using Vixsoft software
