In my role as a Senior Human Resource Assistant on the HR Advisory Service, I acted as a first point of contact, offering a friendly and welcoming customer care service to all police staff and officers. I provided support and advice on aspects of HR to divisions and branches force wide across Greater Manchester, in accordance with force policy and legislative requirements. I had the ability to keep up to date with changes to policy and procedures and could communicate the application of them such as maternity, paternity, adoption leave, career breaks, sickness absence management, occupational health referrals, flexible working applications and recruitment processes to members at all levels. I investigated and responded to enquiries in a consistent, effective and timely manner and directed members of the police to coinciding policies on the force intranet. I prioritised incoming phone calls and emails and drafted responses and/or clarified more complex information both orally and in writing.

Providing information, advice and support to unpaid carers living in Bury. Organising events, activities and trips to provide a break for carers as well as providing help surrounding benefits and carers rights.
