* I completed 6 month rotations in the following: * Orthopaedic Rotation (covered elective and trauma wards, only completed 2 month rotation) * Care of the Elderly Acute Rotation (covered Acute Elderly wards) * Outpatients Musculoskeletal * Surgery Rotation (covered Vascular, Upper and Lower GI, Amputees, Head and Neck, Maternity and Gynaecology wards and Surgical High care Unit) * I also participated in the respiratory on-call rota for adults and paediatrics

* My caseload consisted of patients with intellectual and physical disabilities and end stage neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s, MS and Huntington’s. * Assisted the physiotherapist or member of MDT with any physiotherapy treatments which require more than one person. * Provided continuity of care in absence of the physiotherapist. * Responsible for own list of patients and perform individual treatment programmes, as agreed by the physiotherapist. * Kept accurate daily records of all treatments. * Participate in the organisation and running of exercise/activity groups to suit relevant client needs, as directed by the physiotherapist. * Participate in the organisation and running of and assist residents during hydrotherapy/swimming sessions. * Assist other members of MDT if necessary, eg in helping with relevant group activities. * Assist the physiotherapist in ordering of equipment and maintaining the equipment cupboard. * Assist with administrative duties such as typing of minutes of meetings, photocopying, etc.

Completed a 11 month rotation in Care of the Elderly team. Assessing and treating geriatric patients in A&E, Acute ward and rehabilitation ward. Completed 2 months in the Respiratory team covering ITU, Cardiac Care Unit and acute medical, surgical and paediatric wards. I also participated in the respiratory on-call rota treating both adult and paediatric patients. Weekend work would also involve treating patients in orthopedics, stroke and paediatrics. My role also involved supervising, appraising and supporting junior physiotherapist, physiotherapy assistants and physiotherapy students. I was the Chartered Society of Physiotherapist rep while working in this position.

First year (Sept 2010- June2011) – Modules completed in Clinical Physiotherapy Skills 1 and 2, Introduction to Movement Science, Skills for Academic Learning and Patient Centred Practice, Patient Centred Care and Professionalism and Skilled Movement and Exercise Science. I also completed a 4 week placement on an Acute Stroke inpatient ward. Second year (Sept 2011- June 2012) – Modules completed in Management of Neuro-musculoskeletal Dysfunction, Cardiopulmonary Health, Control of Movement and Neurological Rehabilitation and Health Professions in Health and Social Care. I completed three five week placements in an acute orthopaedics inpatient ward, acute medical inpatients ward and outpatients musculoskeletal.
