Mission : Refactoring of an old personnal project created for my own usage to manage my bank accounts. Project purpose in 2016 was also to discover Symfony 2. N.B.: repository is private on Github ; demo user ready, just ask me for credentials Chronology : April 2023 Project has been reworked from scratch with a new stack Laravel 10, Blade templating, AlpineJS, Tailwind CSS, in order to do/redo features that were missing or unfinished from 2016 project. Single-page application approach was abandonned to avoid too much workload. Since its prod deployment: bug fixes, QoL improvments, small features additions. January 2024 Star of v3 development in Single-page application with the stack: Laravel 10, Vue 3, InertiaJS, Tailwind CSS. Production deployment done on 2024-01-24. Approximately 70% off backend was kept or close to. On the front side, only a few Tailwind styles were kept, everything else was fully remade. Full remote, part time 4/5 Mission (2017 july -> 2022 october): started as developer in a small team of 3 that grew up regularily, I was quickly asked to lead development on both database architecture and technical directions. From best practices, to code organization and programming concepts, I'm in charge to keep raising the team's technical level as well as coding features and fixes. Mission: bring technical expertise to make the product into v. 2.0 to answer the need of several features. Askom's product was a SaaS chatbot, based on a recognition of single words to provide pre-made answers with priority hierarchy. My mission was to improve the recognition engine to allow combination of words, as well as developing tools to monitor the relevance of answers. Notable activities: - analyzing engine algorithm: how to improve it, how to add word combinations to the process, which feature to keep and which one to rework, how to enrich the word database based on chatbot logs - technical migration: rework of the database while keeping crucial data, changed from MyIsam to InnoDB according to new structural requirements, choice of frameworks (Zend 1.11, Bootstrap 1) - optimized development process: introduced SVN for code versioning, installed staging server for QA, installed task manager (Bugzilla) - rewriting of chatbot engine: implementing word combination with high performance constraints, added a combination tolerance and word typos, added multi-language support - SQL optimizations: minimize the number of queries to allow the engine to manage the traffic load - chatbot follow-up: conceiving and development of an intuitive backend dedicated to follow the chatbot answers, listing the path that led to this answer but accessible to a non developer (position dedicated to improve the chatbot relevance) - implemented payment: PayPal and LicenseToBill Stack: PHP 5, MySQL, Eclipse, SVN, Linux.
