Management of all Environmental Health Program areas and some work with isolation and quarantine practice as part of my OSU Practicum. Areas of specialty included, but were not limited to food protection, recreational water, sewage treatment systems, private water systems, vector control including rabies control, and school environmental health. I was in charge of the agency on many occasions in the absence of the Health Commissioner and also assisted in filling the Director of Operations role during a vacancy.

Currently I manage environmental health and safety at Worthington City Schools with a focus on indoor environments and safety for children and staff using district buildings. This includes but is not limited to coordinating custodial services, managing supply and repair budgets, instituting integrated pest management practices, and conducting indoor environment inspections. I'm also the Ohio Environmental Health Association's Public Affairs Chair and Representative on the Ohio Public Health Advisory Board and serve as Vice Chair. These positions afford me the opportunity to work closely with public health partners in an effort to reach a common goal of promoting and protecting public health in Ohio.

While at the Ohio State University as an undergraduate honors student I studied impacts of construction on the Rocky Fork Creek near New Albany, OH. This included an analysis of water quality as well as fish and invertebrates. My Graduate Thesis was focused on limitation of movement to control the spread of disease. My experience at OSU taught me to recognize the many variables that effect the health of the environment around us. We need to be stewards of that environment both inside and out and take care of each other in the process.
