Flangeconnect is a training institute that provides training / education in several degrees to become a certificate flange technicians. The education consists of a theoretical as well as a practical part witch covers all aspect of how a proper flange connection should be made. Responsible for the set up and lay-out of all training courses and materials, like training books, presentations and the demonstrations. as instructor the trainingcourse is giving to many different companies in the petro-chemical industries like, Shell, Exxon Mobil, Sabic, NAM, Baker oil supply, BJ well services, Dupont, Esso, Akzo, Dana Petroleum, Zeton, Nuon, Baker Hughes, etc.

Responsible for the complete propulsion system on board, with all their associated sub systems. Consist of four gas turbines, gearboxes, diesel fuel, lube oil, cooling water, and pitch control systems. Perform maintenance, repair, inspection, review of mostly gas turbines but also several pumps, gear casing, tube systems, clinchers, steerage machines, stabilization, air treatment installations and so on. Lead a team of electrical, instrumentations and mechanical technicians up to 12 sailors so that all maintenance activities are conducted in a safe and correct manner. Checking the performances curves and adjusting if necessary of the gas turbines (Rolls Roys Tyne, Olympus and Spey) was an important and responsible job, also the logbook were kept up to date. Also responsible for the training of personnel in engine-room emergency actions and fire fighting was an important task of my job. I hold several ranks as a technical specialist in the fire fighting team.

Responsible for total power generation and distribution on board, this was from the diesel generators until the consumers, with all their sub systems. Also the manufacturing of salt water into fresh water through flash evaporators till the tap was a part of it. Provide the ship with steam for the galley, laundry and the ships central heating with big steam boilers. Lead a team of electrical, instrumentations and mechanical technicians up to 6 sailors so that all maintenance activities are conducted in a safe and correct manner. Maintenance of several platform systems like; air handling, cold water handling, air compressors, and hydraulic pumps and so on.
