I am two things: Firstly, a freelance game critic through writing and video production, in the form of long form feature articles and a series of short Youtube videos, called Two Minute Game Crit. My work tends towards cultural analysis of game systems and mechanics at a non-technical level, as well as investigating media texts of any sort as cultural artefacts. Secondly, I am a programmer and upcoming graduate of a Higher Diploma in Software Development at DBS, currently seeking a junior/graduate role in the Dublin area to lead headlong into a career in IT. To this end I am experienced with C#, ASP, ADO and other components of the .Net Framework, SQL, HTML5, CSS3, Linux, Java and JavaScript, MS Visual Studio, Android Studio, SQL Server Management Studio and more. In terms of multimedia production I am versed in Lightworks, PhotoShop, Gimp, ProTools, Audacity, slomoVideo, MS Office Suite, 3DS MAX and Mudbox, Unity3D and more.
