𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 * Designed and developed hardware for 6 new products, including a groundbreaking AV-over-IP product line 'Aligo' * Enhanced performance and stability of numerous existing products. Implemented frequent and urgent design changes to sustain production during global component shortage 𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗱𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 * Conducted technical analysis and developed initial product concepts into hardware architecture (detailed block diagrams) * Created complete schematics and implemented constraints for PCB layout in DxDesigner/Xpedition * Conducted thorough pre- and post-layout signal integrity simulations in HyperLynx * Supervised PCB layout, defined PCB stack-up, component placement and routing of critical interconnects in DxDesigner/Xpedition * Created and executed test plans for board bring-up and validation with standard and specialised test equipment (10+ GHz oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers) * Designed EMI and thermal control solutions and contributed to mechanical design

𝗜 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲 𝗛𝗪 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝘆. 𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗙𝗣𝗚𝗔 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 - 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗣𝗟𝗗𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵-𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗣𝗚𝗔𝘀 𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗼𝗖𝘀. Our typical projects were made-to-order digital and mixed-signal modules for: * Science - electron microscopes, acquisition systems * Radiolocation and radio communication - digitisers, SDR and baseband modules * AR/VR - displays, cameras and video processing modules * 1-100 Gbit Network Interface Cards * Test equipment - measurements of electrical and non-electrical quantities 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 * Designed approximately 40 boards to full customers’ satisfaction; predominantly as a one-man team 𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗱𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 * Conducted technical analysis and developed set of basic requirements into hardware architecture * Created complete schematics in Altium Designer and Cadence Allegro * Conducted SPICE simulations and evaluation of prototype circuits * Created complete layout in Altium Designer and Cadence Allegro * Defined PCB stack-up, layout rules and worked closely with PCB vendors * Created and maintained component database - both schematic symbols and footprints

Final project: MULTICHANNEL HD-SDI DIGITAL VIDEO SIGNAL CONVERTER The final project provides a summary of theoretical background required for a successful design of a product with FPGA and multi-gigabit serial interfaces. Main topics covered in the theoretical part are principles of encoding, transmission and propagation of high-speed digital signals in real-life circuit boards. The subsequent practical part of the project describes a design of a commercial product: Cost optimised 6-channel 3G HD-SDI video signal converter for transmission of digital video signals over a 10-Gigabit Ethernet network. Included are detailed examples of circuit design - e.g. key peripherals, PDN, CDN and support circuits. Final part of the project is describing testing of selected interfaces, measurements and their comparison with simulations. Approximately 500 units of the original design were built and delivered.

Final project: ATMOSPHERIC CORRECTION UNIT FOR LASER INTERFEROMETER The final project describes design of a complete, FPGA-based signal processing platform and digitiser for analog output signals of homodyne laser interferometer. The unit, complementing base laser interferometer, is designed to enable measurements of displacements with nanometer resolution, with the added capability of suppressing drift of a refractive index of air in the observed space. Corrections of refractive index of air are calculated from changes of measured parameters of ambient air (temperature, pressure, humidity). I have received multiple awards for this project - at university level, national and international.
