Spencer is an incoming first-year student at Yale University. By gaining work experience at scientific institutions like Georgia Aquarium, Northside Hospital, and Yale Center for Clinical Investigation, he has acquired a deep aspiration to become a biochemical and clinical researcher. As a testament to his academic and extracurricular abilities, Spencer has been named a LEDA Scholar, QuestBridge College Prep Scholar, U.S. Youth Ambassador, Burger King Scholar, Greenhouse Scholar, and National Merit Scholar.Outside of the classroom, Spencer is passionate about music, having sung in the Georgia All-State Chorus 4 years in a row and alongside a professional ensemble at the Yale School of Music. As Co-President of his school's Tri-M Music Honor Society and section leader in his choir, he has become a capable and empathetic musical leader.Starting this fall, Spencer plans to pursue a degree in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology (MCDB) and Global Health Studies.
