Sophie is an entrepreneur with over two decades of experience working at the intersection of business and positive social and environmental change. After a successful career in the corporate world, she founded Kite Insights and now serves as its CEO, leading a suite of pioneering initiatives including the Kite Academy, the Sustainable Action Readiness Assessment (SARA), DEBATABLE., and Hurd. Kite Insights exists to empower people and organisations with the clarity, confidence and capabilities to embed sustainability into the core of their strategies and operations. It delivers research-based insights, curates thought-provoking event programmes and debates, and designs transformative learning experiences for employees and leaders. Most recently, Kite bootstrapped and launched Hurd—a free app that equips employees with practical tools to make a difference on climate at work, offering bite-sized learning, actionable tips and support from a global community. With over 30 years’ experience in research, content strategy and thought leadership, Sophie is passionate about using the power of insight to shape the debate and drive progress on urgent issues—from climate change and sustainable development to gender equality and inclusive growth. Sophie and her team bring together analytical rigour and creative vision to help clients articulate their purpose, engage employees, spark meaningful conversations, and align business with social and environmental impact. She has collaborated with leading media and convening platforms, including The New York Times and the Women’s Forum for the Economy and Society, to produce high-impact content and compelling programmes at various international events. Sophie also works with India-based BlueGreen Ventures as a Strategic Advisor, ensuring their investment strategy integrates cutting-edge climate insights to drive both impact and returns. Sophie is passionate about helping funds and founders align their growth with a net-zero future.
