Sophie Fletcher

I lead the strategy, planning, and delivery of Hussle’s webinar, podcast, and events programme, driving engagement, brand credibility, and commercial pipeline growth. I focus on improving audience experience and performance through strong speaker management, data-led reporting, and innovative event activations that increase lead capture and repeat attendance. Alongside this, I support sales-led events, develop new initiatives such as The Wellbeing Workout community, and continuously improve event processes to scale the events function effectively.

As the Events Marketing Manager at Hussle, I lead the strategy and execution of webinars, HR, and supply events, driving engagement with key stakeholders. I manage end-to-end event planning, from speaker coordination, promotional content, budget management, to post-event marketing, ensuring impactful sessions that align with business goals. To further increase our brand awareness, and generate leads, I took over the Hussle Wellbeing Webinar Series, which I have grown by 900% in 9 months, through data led decision making. I also took the initiative to own and lead the Wellbeing Workout Podcast on Spotify.

As a result of my love for the mountains, in 2023 I moved to Whistler, BC, here I led initiatives to grow member engagement and digital presence. This role involved securing local sponsorships, coordinating stakeholders, overseeing branded merchandise, and running social media campaigns. I applied data insights to improve planning and logistics, which directly increased event turnout and operational efficiency.

As a digital emergency response coordinator and snow school technologist I am at the forefront of leveraging technology to ensure swift, efficient emergency dispatching and snow school coordination. I am harnessing data-driven insights to optimise response times during crises, by utilising cutting edge tools to help streamline emergency services.

At PwC, I worked on client-facing technology and data transformation projects, delivering insight-led strategies to optimise performance and drive business value. I developed dashboards in Excel and PowerBI to visualise KPIs, track progress, and enable data-driven decisions. Alongside my core responsibilities, I volunteered with PwC’s Wellbeing Team, where I organised a firmwide event featuring a Paralympian speaker. This experience combined logistics management with internal comms and performance evaluation, reinforcing my passion for creating impactful, purpose-led initiatives.

Finished with a First class honours

Starting in July, I was due to begin the flight physics internship programme with Airbus. However, due to the ongoing, unprecedented circumstances the programme was terminated. I am truly saddened by the cancellation, alas I hope to use this time to further my education and advance my skill set. I am extremely excited and motivated by the future opportunities that this may present me with.

I set up a small business to provide some extra income and acquire business acumen.  I combined my love for fashion and technology to create a means of buying and selling vintage clothing online.  As a result, I have taught myself budgeting, financial management and elements of accounting in the process, along with supply and demand principles.

Throughout September 2019 I undertook work experience involving 5 Engineering disciplines, including structural, mechanical, hydraulics, systems control and digital with Anglian water. During so I was shown the fundamentals behind autodesk revit and bim 360 softwares. I was involved with a group of graduates and tasked to design a water splitter tank, by solving the underlying hydraulics problems and our technical knowledge, we presented our solution to experienced engineers, which is currently being reviewed for installation. I was exposed to the basics of procurement, and financing by shadowing multiple employees in order to gain understanding of the principles involved and how they’re implemented in business.
