Sophie Cooke

Food Development Technologist @ The Pure Food Co

About

As a Food Science graduate with a background in Human Nutrition, I’m driven by curiosity and creativity in the world of food innovation. Currently at The Pure Food Co, I’m involved in developing and improving products that deliver nourishment and enjoyment, particularly for those requiring a texture-modified diet. I’m passionate about creating nutritious, high-quality foods that make a real difference especially within the aged-care and wellness sectors. I thrive in collaborative environments, enjoy problem-solving, and take a hands-on approach to developing and improving products from concept to launch. My experience across food quality and compliance has given me a strong foundation in the technical aspects of food production. Outside of work, I’m an avid foodie who loves cooking, baking, and exploring new flavours. I also enjoy discovering local cafes and restaurants and find balance and relaxation through Pilates.
