As an FP&A intern at DV, I supported FP&A operations by conducting revenue and expense forecasting, month-end and quarter-end reporting, data validation, and budgeting, central to supporting financial decision making and aligning with corporate planning frameworks. I built industry-mapped Tableau dashboards from multiple data sources and maintained advertiser hierarchies for ad hoc and long-term trend reporting; delivered actionable insights into advertiser performance, product effectiveness, and cost drivers. I was able to assist in cost control and process optimization efforts, tracking vendor spend, contributing to budget refresh models, documenting FP&A procedures, and streamlining operations to support the broader finance team’s efficiency and strategic planning initiatives.

In this role, I guide students in a one-on-one setting with special needs, including those with autism, cognitive, emotional, and physical disabilities, in achieving individualized educational goals in the classroom. I collaborate with educators and therapists to deliver personalized support, fostering communication and behavioral strategies applicable to client-focused financial planning. Also, I demonstrate exceptional patience and adaptability in managing the needs of students with varying cognitive and emotional challenges per day, maintaining a calm and professional demeanor in high-pressure environments and ensuring all goals are met

During my summer internship with Newtek, I prepared bank reconciliations, accounts payable, cash management forms for the Merchant Solutions department. I also collaborated with the Vice President of Risk on development of SOX application controls, identifying risk in financial reporting. As well as collaborated with four Senior Accounts to prepare yearly financial reports (i.e. call report for 10Q)

While serving on Governing Council, my role of the Vice President of Finance is to manage all financial transactions and cash accounts for Eta Nu chapter of Kappa Delta Sorority while being a trusting resource for our members. In this role, I have prepared and continue to oversee a budget of over $100,000. In addition to this, I bill and monitor over 180 member payments on an accounting platform called BillHighway. Every month I submit monthly reports to Kappa Delta National Headquarters on my chapter’s financial well-being.

In this role, I helped bill members, followed up on past due balances and oversaw the chapter budget, all to ensure the financial health of the Eta Nu chapter. I reported directly to the VP-finance and collaborated with other members of the executive board and governing council to make our chapter goals come to life! Whilst serving as the first ever Director of Finance for Eta Nu, I was able to achieve and accomplish many of my goals that helped my chapter succeed. I was able to increase timely payment retention resulting in our chapter being on financial good standing with Kappa Delta Nationals. I was fortunate to find my purpose through this position and grew confidence within my leadership skills.

During the 10-weeks, I rotated between portfolio management, underwriting and new business development origination roles in PNC's Business Credit Technology Finance Group. The group provides secured financing for Private Equity and Venture Capital backed software M&A, growth capital, and div recaps in the middle market. I was able to gain experience on creating and understanding offerings, portfolio sheets and pre-screens. I produced a comprehensive final project on deferred revenue of subscription-based Technology companies. The project required detailed research and analysis using Microsoft PowerPoint, balance sheets, etc., culminating in a presentation to Business Credit Executives.
