This summer I had the opportunity to gain experience working in the Public Relations department at Snappee by Swirly Curly, a women of color-centered hair and beauty brand. This was a 13-week internship program in which I was guided through monthly projects focusing on brand awareness, content creation, and a summer influencer campaign.

Participated in everyday responsibilities and tasks that are a part of being at a traditional lifestyle PR agency.

Assisted customers in understanding the menu, including ingredients, customization options, and recommendations. Built customer's orders ensuring all specifications and modifications are correct

As a student in the School for Journalism and Mass Communication, I have had the pleasure of taking courses with established and esteemed professors who have worked first-hand in Strategic Communications during their careers. I have been a member of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) and Bucky™ PR throughout my time at UW-Madison. PRSSA is a club that unites students interested in Public Relations and introduces them to Communications professionals. PRSSA has evolved my perception of PR and has allowed me to grow in professional settings. Bucky™ PR is the only student-run Public Relations firm on campus. I have had the pleasure of assisting two local non-profits with their promotional needs alongside club members in Bucky™ PR. I was also the Event Coordinator for The Women's Network, the country's largest collegiate women's network in 2023.
